Carina Kool has been involved in many sports at one time from elementary school through high school. She got into running in 8th grade when she joined the Outdoor Track & Field team. When she started high school, she joined the Cross Country team and continued running on the Track & Field team for both Indoor & Outdoor seasons. After high school, she didn’t run as much as she once did, but this all changed come 2012 when she got back into running and challenging herself more. She started training for longer distances and pushing herself more. She completed 3 marathons in 3 days in 3 states in June 2015 at the Bear Lake Marathon. To date she has run multiple race distances ranging from 5k’s to 50 miles.
Looking ahead, it’s her goal to complete her 1st 100k and so on. Her long-term goal is to complete all the World Marathon Majors (2 down – Chicago & New York City and 4 more to go – Boston, Tokyo, Berlin, London). Also, she loves volunteering and giving back to the running community. As you can see, she is addicted to running, and she said that she wouldn’t be able to do what she loves to do without the support of her awesome husband, family, and friends.
