phoenix marathonA big race deserves a big finish.

When you cross the finish line after your full, half or 10K, be prepared to bask in more than just the personal feeling of achievement. As the crowds cheer you down the last stretch, you have plenty to look forward to on the other side of the line.

Welcome to the Recovery Zone.

We’ve blocked off a specific area of the Mesa Riverview parking lot just for runners. It’s got shade, turf, more than 50 massage therapists, chairs, mini pools, yoga mats, plenty of beverage and food options, runners-only raffle prizes…basically, anything a runner in recovery could ever want.¬†There will even be a video streaming footage from the finish line, so you can watch fellow runners complete their races while you relax, soak your feet and get a massage.

What’s on the menu?

When we promise free food and beverages, we aren’t messing around. Love churros? What about chocolate milk or a taco? Or maybe some fresh fruit is more up your alley? Vendors present at the finish line include big names like Shamrock, Sprouts, Rubio’s, Whole Grain, Clif Bars, Muscle Milk, Powerade, Chik-Fil-A, Dunkin’ Donuts and more. You’ll have a tired body to replenish — we’ve got you covered.

If you want something fun to do…

  • Inflatables in the Kids’ Zone
  • Hundreds of free items being tossed to the crowd
  • Raffle prizes
  • Opportunities to donate to AZ Brain Food

Awards Ceremony

The marathon awards ceremonies for all three race distances will take place at Mesa Riverview at the stage area. Awards will not be mailed, so please be in attendance if you expect to win an award. Overall and Masters awards will be based on gun time per USATF rules. Age group awards will be based on chip times.

Half Marathon – 9:00 AM
10K Race – 10:00 AM
Full Marathon – 11:00 AM
