Consistent Performance with Notable Splits In the 2025 Mesa Marathon, Richard ran a consistent race, completing the half marathon in 2:09:29 with an average pace of 9:53 min/mile. Among approximately 3,859 participants, he placed 1,811th overall and 56th in the M55-59 division. He opened strong with a first mile at a 9:23 min/mile pace. Throughout the race, he maintained a steady effort, with a slightly accelerated pace in mile 3 at 8:44 min/mile, accounting for his fastest split. A closer analysis reveals gradual pace decline, with the slowest mile being recorded at a 10:50 min/mile pace in mile 10. Richard improved his position back to 54th in the M55-59 division during mile 11, showing good resilience. For future races, working on pacing consistency towards the latter segments could prove beneficial.
