Strong Start and Consistent Pace Highlight Performance Vikas Ramalingam, 39, from Chandler, AZ, kicked off the 2025 Mesa Marathon with an impressive first mile, clocking in at 8:21 min/mile. Notably, he maintained a relatively consistent pace throughout most of the race, with only a slight slowdown towards the later portions. Between miles 1 and 4, his pace remained below 9:00 min/mile, displaying strong early momentum. His fastest split occurred between miles 6 and 7, covering the distance in 8:26 min/mile. Throughout the marathon, Vikas held a steady pace mainly around 9:00 min/mile. The final stretches showed a gentle deceleration, culminating in an overall time of 4:13:37, with a final average pace of 9:40 min/mile. Among 3,624 participants, Vikas ranked well in his division, placing 175th out of the M35-39 category.
