Consistent Pace with a Strong Improvement from Last Year Paul Peterson, 64 from Mesa, AZ, completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon with a time of 2:09:52, maintaining an average pace of 9:54 min/mile. His performance placed him 32nd in his M60-64 division, among 3859 participants. Paul performed consistently throughout the race, with individual mile splits ranging between 9:23 and 10:12 min/mile. Notably, the race started strong with a first mile split of 10:31 min/mile and concluded on a high note, with the 13th mile split coming in at 9:42 min/mile. Paul showed remarkable improvement from the previous year's race, cutting down his half marathon time by over 13 minutes. Last year at the 2024 Mesa Marathon, his pace was 10:55 min/mile, which placed him 37th in his division. This year’s consistent pacing highlights his progress.
