Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Rachel Ross #18227 Race: 2025 Mesa Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Consistent Pace Over the Half Marathon Distance Rachel Ross participated in the 2025 Mesa Marathon's half marathon event, representing the 50 States Half Marathon Club. Maintaining an average pace of 11:50 minutes per mile, she completed the race with an elapsed time of 2:35:01. Throughout the early stages of the race, Rachel showed improvements, particularly from mile 1 to mile 3, moving from an 11:39 min/mile to 11:08 min/mile pace. This shows a positive adjustment in her speed as she settled into the race. In the latter portion, there was a noticeable shift in performance as her splits ranged between 12:08 min/mile and 12:48 min/mile from mile 7 onwards. However, Rachel demonstrated resilience by maintaining her position with a final division placement of 23rd among her age group, F65-69. To further enhance her performance, focusing on consistency in pacing throughout the second half of the race could be beneficial. Keep up the impressive dedication and effort, Rachel!
