Consistent Pacing Amidst Challenging Conditions Kindal Sweet completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon with a final time of 1:39:17, resulting in an overall pacing average of 7:34 min/mile. Participation included 3,859 runners, with Kindal ranking 182nd among female competitors and 32nd in her division (F35-39). Starting strong, her initial splits reflected a pace between 6:32 and 7:03 min/mile. Particularly notable was her 6th mile, clocking in at 6:34 min/mile, which showcased her speed capabilities. However, post the 6-mile mark, a pacing slowdown was observed from mile 7 onwards. The splits varied, peaking at 9:16 min/mile on the 9th mile before regaining control with a final mile time of 6:52 min/mile. Considering previous half marathons, Kindal's pacing this year was a bit slower than her best times. To further optimize performance, focusing on maintaining endurance consistency in the latter half of the race would be beneficial for future races.
