Consistent Splits with Speed Fluctuations in Later Miles Andrew Brooks, 45, from North Pole, AK, ran the 2025 Mesa Marathon with the 50 States Half Marathon Club, securing an overall time of 4:35:51. He maintained an average pace of 10:31 min/mile, covering the 26.2-mile distance. The first half of the race shows a steady pace, with speeds mostly hovering around or under the 10-minute mark, with the fastest mile at mile 7 with a pace of 8:55 min/mile. In the latter stages, especially from mile 19 onwards, there was a noticeable decline in pace, peaking with a split time of 15:59 min/mile at mile 21. His overall ranking was 2222 out of 3624 participants, and he was positioned 1455th among male competitors. Within his age division (M45-49), he placed 146th.
