Consistent Pacing with Slight Late Splits Adjustments Gina Forestieri participated in the 2025 Mesa Marathon with a steady start, maintaining an early pace close to 9:55 min/mile. Her first four splits remained consistent, with slight variations, notably recording her fastest split at mile 4 with a 9:34 min/mile pace. She maintained an average pace around 10 min/mile for the majority of the race until mile 18. Observing the latter part of the race, there was a noticeable slowdown, especially after mile 18, where the pace dropped to 11:46 min/mile and further eased as the race progressed, finishing with a race time of 4:54:10. It may be beneficial for Gina to work on sustaining her pace in the later stages of long-distance events to improve overall performance. Despite the variance, she remained a steadfast competitor, crossing the finish line representing East Valley Runners with determination.
