Consistently Strong with a Memorable Finish Janice Martin completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon in an elapsed time of 2:30:08 with a steady overall pace of 11:27 min/mile. Throughout her race, Janice demonstrated a consistent performance with splits ranging from 10:15 min/mile to 12:03 min/mile. Her best split time was recorded in her final mile at 10:15 min/mile, which reflects a commendable ability to finish strong. Janice began commandingly, her initial 3 miles having consistent sub-12-minute miles. Her performance remained stable, with no significant drop-off in pace even as she approached the tougher middle section of the race. Although there was a minor slowdown between miles 7 and 10, she effectively picked up the pace in the last stretch. Placing 37th in her division, Janice shows room to potentially modify the strategy for these mid-segment splits. Her pacing in the first and last miles indicates strategic places for development in future races.
