Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Brad Holowaychuk #11913 Race: 2025 Mesa Marathon Distance: 26.2 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Consistent Performance with a Solid Division Standing Brad Holowaychuk demonstrated strong pacing with an elapsed pace of 6:02 min/mile, completing the 2025 Mesa Marathon in 2:38:29. Brad maintained an impressive pace throughout the first 10 miles, with an initial mile pace of 5:08 min/mile. Notably, his standout achievement was securing 1st place in his division during the first four segments, finishing 2nd overall in the Male 45-49 age group. A steady performance allowed him to improve from his previous time at the 2024 Mesa Marathon by 2 minutes and 4 seconds. While maintaining a consistent pace, Brad reached 25th place out of 3,624 total participants, using this marathon as an opportunity to refine his strategy. Continuing to focus on sustaining his pace during the latter parts of the race could provide slight gains in future events. Excellent work representing the Delancey Loopers!
