Steady Endurance with Mid-Race Challenges Julie Savoie completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon half marathon with a time of 3:15:07, averaging a pace of 14:53 min/mile. Out of 3859 participants, she finished 3257th overall, and 1744th among female runners, placing 155th in her age division (F50-54). Her performance started strong, with the first mile clocking in at a pace of 13:14 min/mile. Julie managed consistent splits in the early segments, maintaining sub 14-minute miles through the first half. However, the subsequent miles saw a gradual slowdown with her pace reaching up to 17:42 min/mile by the 11th mile. Notably, she regained momentum towards the end, completing the final split at 13:47 min/mile, the fastest in the second half of her race. Focusing on maintaining that strong start and finish throughout the entire race could enhance her future performances.
