Consistent Start, Fatigue Sets In Mark Carroll completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon with an official time of 4:26:35, averaging a pace of 10:10 min/mile. His performance started strong, maintaining a steady pace of around 8:20 min/mile through the first half. During the initial miles, Mark positioned himself well within the field, reaching a peak split pace of 8:05 min/mile at mile 7. As the race progressed, fatigue became evident as his pace slowed, with the final miles reaching 11:41 min/mile. Despite the slowdown, Mark finished in the upper 60% of his age division, M40-44. He successfully maintained his focus and energy early on, and the transition from half-marathon performance to the marathon distance highlighted new challenges.
