Consistent Performance with Improved Splits Highlighted Marissa Rose delivered a strong performance in the 2025 Mesa Marathon with a final time of 4:32:51, an improvement over her previous year's marathon time of 4:36:51. Her average pace was 10:24 min/mile, showcasing a steady improvement from last year's 10:34 min/mile pace. Her most impressive splits were notably in miles 1 (8:55 min/mile), 3 (8:58 min/mile), and 4 (8:44 min/mile), where she achieved her fastest paces of the race. Throughout the marathon, Marissa maintained consistent pacing, evidenced by another strong performance in mile 7 with a split of 8:48 min/mile. She finished 739th among female participants and 123rd in her F40-44 division. Despite slight deceleration in miles 21 and 25, she demonstrated resilience by maintaining overall consistent splits. Continuing to work on maintaining her pacing consistency in the later stages could yield further improvements. Well done to Marissa and her team, SRTT, for their dedication and preparation.
