Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Kristy Gibson #11511 Race: 2025 Mesa Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Consistency with Potential for Faster Splits Kristy Gibson participated in the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon, completing the 13.1-mile course in 2:53:16. Her overall pace was 13:13 min/mile, placing 3018th overall out of 3859 participants and 164th in the Female 45-49 division. Notably, her early miles were consistent around the 12:25 min/mile mark, with her fastest split at mile 3 with a 12:03 pace. As the race progressed, she showed improved control with a solid recovery at mile 12, clocking 12:18 min/mile. While fluctuations appeared in the latter part, particularly at mile 8 with a split of 15:22, maintaining a steady pace in future races could be beneficial. Focus on harnessing the speed displayed in earlier miles throughout the race may yield improved results. Continually racing with her team, SRTT, will surely enhance her performance in future events.
