Improved Pace and Strong Finish Radhakishan Kairamkonda, age 53 from Chandler, AZ, participated in the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K event with a notable performance. Throughout the race, Radhakishan showed consistent pacing, demonstrating a gradual improvement. Starting with a pace of 16:44 min/mile in the first mile, he notably increased his speed in the final stages, finishing the 5th mile with a split pace of 16:19 min/mile, and then impressively improving to a pace of 15:07 min/mile in the 6th mile. Overall, Radhakishan completed the 10K with an elapsed time of 1:42:30, achieving an average pace of 16:32 min/mile. This marked a significant improvement from his previous Mesa Marathon performance in 2024, where he recorded a time of 1:48:53 with a pace of 17:33 min/mile. Competing with Team Spirit Seekers, Radhakishan placed 47th in the M50-54 age division, outperforming 457 other participants. It might be beneficial to maintain the final mile's pace earlier in future races.
