Steady Progress and Strong Finish Allison Washburn maintained an impressive early pace during the 2025 Mesa Marathon, starting with a steady 10:00 min/mile pace for the first mile, slightly improving to 9:48 min/mile at mile three. Her performance peaked at mile twelve with a quick 9:25 min/mile, reflecting her strategic planning and ability to conserve energy through the earlier stages. Consistency in pacing was evident as she completed the first half with an average pace around 10:00 min/mile. In the later stages of the marathon, Allison's pace slightly decreased, with the final mile clocking in at 12:14 min/mile. Finishing strong with a total time of 4:50:05 and maintaining her place within the top 25% for her division demonstrates resilience and determination. There is potential to work on endurance for maintaining her ideal pace throughout the entire marathon.
