Consistent Pace with Opportunities to Accelerate Melinda Wofford participated in the 2025 Mesa Marathon's half marathon event as part of the 50 States Half Marathon Club. Completing the 13.1-mile race with an overall time of 3:26:31, she maintained a finish pace of 15:45 min/mile. Her best performance was evident in mile 3, clocking a pace of 13:45 min/mile. Steady pacing was maintained throughout, notably starting strong with a near consistent 14:49 min/mile pace at mile 1. As the race progressed, miles 7 to 11 showed an increase in time, peaking at 18:19 min/mile by mile 11. In the F50-54 division, Melinda placed 159th, with her highest divisional position being 100th after the first mile. Melinda's performance was consistent with an opportunity to focus on sustaining the early pace in future races. Overall, she represented her team alongside 3,859 participants, showcasing her persistent effort throughout the event.
