Consistent Pacing and Resilient Finish Hunter Vilhauer delivered a consistent performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon. With an overall time of 3:18:06, he maintained an impressive average pace of 7:33 min/mile over the 26.2 miles. His pace varied minute-by-minute, starting strong with three initial miles under 7:30 min/mile, and hitting a faster split of 6:56 min/mile at mile 19. This effort placed him 41st in the M19-24 division. Hunter's splits show resilience; notably, he recovered well from a slower split around the 5th mile to finish strong with a final mile of 7:02. His performance saw him optimize his speed toward the end, achieving his best division ranking during a critical late race stage. His consistent pacing strategy and ability to increase speed in the final stages are strengths.
