Consistency with Potential for Pacing Refinement In the 2025 Mesa Marathon, Henry Lee completed the 26.2-mile race in 5:42:22, with an overall pace of 13:04 min/mile. An intriguing aspect of his performance was his strong start with initial paces that dipped below 10:15 min/mile for the first four miles. He maintained a fairly steady pace with a noticeable acceleration to 9:52 min/mile during the seventh mile. Notably, his splits indicated fluctuating pacing in the later stages. His performance in the M35-39 division was commendable, finishing 267th out of 3624 participants. Compared to his previous participation in the 2024 Mesa Marathon, Henry's overall time increased by approximately 23 minutes and the pace slowed by about 53 seconds per mile. This suggests that there is a potential area to focus on pacing consistency, especially in the latter half of the race. Encouragingly, earlier miles showed promising speed, indicating endurance as a potential area of focus in training.
