Consistent Performance with Opportunities for Speed Gains Ashley Davis, 37, from Colorado Springs, CO, delivered a solid performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon half marathon, finishing with a time of 1:39:18, maintaining a pace of 7:34 min/mile. Her pacing showed strong consistency, with an impressive acceleration in the final split of 6:54 min/mile over the last mile, contrasting with a slower middle section. This helped her secure a respectable 520th overall and 183rd among female participants. Her finish in the F35-39 division was 33rd out of a large field of competitors. Over her previous races, Ashley has demonstrated faster overall times: 1:35:33 and 1:36:43 in 2024 and 2023 respectively. It’s noteworthy that despite an overall slower race this year, her final split this year was a significant improvement. Targeting the middle segments for improvement in pacing might allow her to close the gap on her personal records.
