Consistent Effort and Strategic Finish Wendy Brown maintained a consistent effort throughout the 13.1-mile course at the 2025 Mesa Marathon, clocking an elapsed time of 4:25:15 with an average pace of 20:14 min/mile. Starting strong, she completed the first mile in 18:17 min/mile, then increased her pace slightly in the second mile to 16:58 min/mile. While there were variations in pace, Wendy managed to finish strong with a final split of 18:35 min/mile. Wendy placed 114th in her division (F55-59) and 1866th in gender out of 3859 total participants. Notably, her performance in the 8th mile marked an improvement in position, moving up to 104th in her division. Although the last split was slightly slower at 20:15 min/mile, consistency was evident in her overall performance. For future performance enhancements, gradually working on maintaining a more consistent pace across all splits could be beneficial.
