Consistent Improvement Yields Rewards Shripathi Krishnan maintained a consistent pace throughout the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon, completing the race in 2:19:25 with an average pace of 10:38 min/mile. His performance showed a gradual deceleration from an opening mile of 8:44 min/mile to a closing mile of 10:26 min/mile. Shripathi navigated shifts in pacing effectively, managing to keep splits between 9:31 and 11:40 min/mile after the initial mile. He placed 101st in his division (M50-54) and successfully maintained his rank through varying race dynamics. A significant highlight is Shripathi’s notable progress compared to previous performances. He reduced his finishing time by 25:19 since the 2024 race. Encouragement can be given towards interval training to enhance consistency in maintaining early race speeds as race progresses.
