Consistent Pace with Progressive Improvements Carol Magill completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon, showcasing consistency throughout. Her overall time was 3:42:26, equating to an average pace of 16:58 minutes per mile. The race included 13 splits, with the most noteworthy being the third mile, completed in 14:54, showing her fastest split pace. Throughout the race, Carol maintained a steady performance. She managed to improve her split pace from 16:44 in the first mile to 15:13 in the second. Notably, her split pace quickened significantly in the third mile, but experienced a slight decline towards the end. In terms of overall placement within her division, she secured 17th place in the F70-74 category. Moving forward, focusing on sustaining the earlier improvements later in the race could help enhance overall performance. Participating as part of the 50 States Half Marathon Club is a great way to stay motivated and continue developing.
