Consistent Performance Shines Through for Arizona Runner Bonnie Schirato from Gold Canyon, AZ, completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon with a total time of 2:28:38, maintaining an impressive average pace of 11:20 min/mile. At 57, Bonnie represented the 50 States Half Marathon Club with steady performance across splits. Notably, her pace remained quite consistent, starting with a 10:42 min/mile for the first mile and wrapping up with an 11:07 min/mile in the final mile. Her performance resulted in a respectable 57th place in the F55-59 age division—a commendable feat among 3,859 participants. Analyzing her split times, Bonnie showed remarkable pacing consistency despite slight variability in the latter miles. The tight grouping of split paces reflects her disciplined approach to pacing. One area for consideration could be maintaining a more consistent pace in the later miles, as seen from the 12:04 min/mile in the fourth mile. Consistent training focused on endurance might help in sustaining momentum towards the race's end.
