Consistent Pacing and Tactical Strength Anil Gandhi exhibited remarkable consistency in his performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon, navigating the half marathon distance with a final time of 2:16:51 and an average pace per mile of 10:26. Notably, Anil's performance improved in the middle of the race, evident from a faster third mile split of 9:01. He showed astute control and finished in the top echelon of his age group, placing 96th in the M50-54 category. Running under the banner of team Runners4Life, Anil maintained a tactical race, adjusting his speed across the course. The progressive slow down from mile 8 onwards to a split time of 11:22, slightly increased his final time. However, compared to his last race in 2024, the 2025 performance marked a steady effort. A specific area to potentially target in training could be maintaining pace consistency in the latter stages. Overall, the experience gained adds positively to Anil's racing acumen in future runs.
