Steady Paces and Strong Division Showing Glen Thomas ran a marathon with an overall time of 2:54:46, maintaining an average pace of 6:40 min/mile. Notably, Glen placed 9th in his division, M40-44, out of 3624 total participants. The 19th mile was a standout with a split pace of 6:00 min/mile, showing strong execution and capability to quicken the pace when needed. Although Glen established a solid pace early in the race, evident with a 6:18 min/mile pace on his first mile, pacing slowed slightly towards the latter stages, with the last mile at 7:44 min/mile. Overall, Glen has maintained consistent pacing compared to his past performances. He has previously completed half marathons at an average pace close to 6:20 min/mile, demonstrating a small increase in pace for this marathon. As a member of Club Sando from Peoria, AZ, Glen continues to be a competitive runner in the M40-44 age group, and focusing on sustaining even splits could further enhance his standing in future events.
