Consistent Performance Amidst Varying Paces Phyllis Kampmeyer from Pembroke Pines, FL, completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon with an elapsed time of 4:35:12, maintaining an overall pace of 10:30 minutes per mile. Her performance was marked by steady pacing across most of the course. She achieved her fastest split at mile 7 with an impressive pace of 8:56 minutes per mile. In the F55-59 division, she secured the 34th place out of a total of 3624 participants. Her consistent performance is commendable. A breakdown reveals she encountered slower segments, notably at miles 5, 18, and 25 with splits over 10:20 minutes per mile. Focusing on maintaining a consistent pace, especially in later miles, could potentially enhance her performance in subsequent races. Phyllis’s ability to handle varying splits while still finishing strong speaks to her endurance capabilities. As part of the 50 States Half Marathon Club, she will continue to build on this experience moving forward.
