Consistent Pace and Top Division Victory Elaine Marchese delivered a strong performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon with a final time of 1:42:14, clocking an average pace of 7:48 min/mile. Notably, she secured a 1st place finish in the F60-64 division among 3859 participants. Her race strategy reflected a consistent pacing effort, with her fastest split at mile 13 clocking 7:20 min/mile. Elaine's consistent pacing was evident throughout, maintaining a sub-8 minute pace nearly the entire race. Maintaining a dynamic pace throughout each split, Elaine demonstrated impressive consistency and endurance. Starting with her first-mile pace of 8:27 and quickly settling into a rhythm, she generally maintained sub-8 minute splits after mile two. Her elevation in pace in the latter half demonstrates an effective race strategy. This race marks another successful event following her previous marathon, where she placed 2nd in her division.
