Consistent Pace with Opportunities for Speed Gains Nicholas Tholstrom completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon in 3:04:47, averaging a pace of 14:06 min/mile. His progress throughout the race showed a fairly consistent pace, with split times varying from a 13:12 min/mile in mile four to a 15:27 min/mile in mile ten. Notably, his fastest split was achieved early in the run, while the pace decreased slightly as the race progressed and it was important to maintain a balanced pace throughout. The data indicates significant effort put forth across all splits. Nicholas placed 213th within his age division (M25-29) out of 255 participants. Compared to his previous 10K race, where he averaged 12:30 min/mile, there is room to enhance speed over long distances.
