Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Gerald Fairall #20965 Race: 2025 Mesa 10K Distance: 6.2 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Consistent Effort with Strategy Adjustment Needed Gerald Fairall completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K with an overall time of 1:58:22, maintaining an average pace of 19:05 min/mile. His performance displayed consistency in pacing across the majority of the splits, particularly evident in the 1-mile to 4-mile marks where his pace ranged from 17:57 to 18:39 min/mile. However, there was a notable slowdown in the fifth mile with a split pace of 22:53 min/mile. A constructive point would be to address this deceleration in the latter part of the race. Compared to his previous 10K performances in 2023 and 2024 Mesa Marathons, with times of 1:40:30 and 1:42:38 respectively, it might be beneficial for Gerald to evaluate his mid-race strategy to maintain a more uniform pace. Continuation of his commitment to team Latinos Run Phoenix will likely support further improvements.
