Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Jenni Seibel #18357 Race: 2025 Mesa Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Jenni Seibel completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon’s half marathon with an overall time of 2:33:16, maintaining an average pace of 11:42 min/mile. Starting strong, her first split was recorded at 11:49 for the mile and showed improvement in the second mile with a faster 11:12 pace. Notably, mile 6 witnessed one of her fastest mile times at 11:08. Despite a temporary deceleration in miles 7 and 8, where paces slid to 12:17 and 14:20 respectively, Jenni regained momentum, achieving a brisk 10:50 pace in mile 12. In the Female 50-54 division, Jenni held steady, often hovering around the 115th position among her peers, and concluding the race in 120th place. Among 3,859 participants, including significant competition in her gender category, her overall placement secured her a position within the top two-thirds. Continuing to refine her early and mid-race paces will complement her strong finish and enhance future performances.
