Consistent Progress in the 10K Elaine Gonzales displayed solid consistency throughout the 10K at the 2025 Mesa Marathon. She completed the 6.2-mile race in 1:37:25, maintaining an overall pace of 15:42 minutes per mile. Notably, her performance showed improvement in pace between miles 1 and 2, where she reduced her split time from 15:40 to 15:13 minutes per mile, indicating a more efficient speed. Her splits were mostly steady, with minor fluctuations, which is commendable for race strategy. Focusing on further improvements, targeting the slower segments will be beneficial. For instance, the increase in pace during mile 4 (16:28 min/mile) suggests an opportunity to adjust endurance strategies for the later stages.
