Improved Pace and Consistency Kei Suzuki ran the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon with an impressive improvement in pace and consistency, completing the race in 2:24:12. His average pace was 11:00 min/mile, showing a notable progression from last year's pace of 11:39 min/mile. Kei demonstrated strong pacing improvements in the first three miles, achieving a quicker split time of 10:49 by the third mile. By the 6th mile, he managed to cut his split pace further to 10:36 min/mile, indicating enhanced endurance and control. The final portions of the race maintained a steady pace, with the last mile completed in 10:45 min/mile. Compared to his 2024 race where he placed 2321st overall, this year's 2394th position, amid increased participants, is commendable. Strategic focus on maintaining pace around the 5th and 7th miles, which recorded slightly higher split times, could refine his performance further.
