Consistent Pace with Notable Improvements in Final Miles Scott Calder, a 41-year-old from Phoenix, AZ, competed in the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon, clocking in at 2:07:41 with an average pace of 9:44 min/mile. Notably, Calder kicked off with a swift start, recording his fastest split in mile 2 at 8:26 min/mile, then adjusted to a steady pace around the 9:30 min/mile mark. Despite some mid-race deceleration, he significantly picked up the pace in the final mile with a split time of 9:06. Among 3,859 participants, Calder's overall placement was 1732, while finishing 101st in his division (M40-44).
