Consistent Splits and Steady Performance Catherine Green, at 64 years old, completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon with a total elapsed time of 4:36:10, averaging a pace of 10:32 min/mile over 26.2 miles. Her pacing strategy was consistent, especially notable in the initial half of the race where she maintained sub-10-minute miles until mile 5. Her fastest split was at mile 7 with a pace of 8:50 min/mile. In the F60-64 division, Catherine placed 17th out of the total participants, showing strong endurance, particularly through the first half. Her pacing in later miles began to slow, with split times exceeding 10 minutes after mile 16. Keeping a steady pace into the latter part of future races may improve overall time. As a member of the "Boston Buddies" team, this performance provides a solid benchmark. Continuing to focus on maintaining late-stage consistency could yield even more impressive results.
