Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Rene maintained a solid performance throughout the 2025 Mesa Marathon with an overall time of 2:52:29 and an average pace of 6:35 min/mile. Starting with a quick 6:24 min/mile for the first mile, his pacing remained impressively consistent. His strongest split was at mile 20, clocking in a 6:03 min/mile, showing his ability to push harder in the later stages. Rene placed 105th out of 3624 participants overall, ranked 101st among males, and secured 29th place in the Male 30-34 division. Maintaining a steady split pace, Rene's only significant deviation was a slower split of 7:22 min/mile at mile 21. Despite this, he managed to rebound strongly, finishing the last mile in a brisk 6:18 min/mile. Consider examining what caused the slower split at mile 21 to help maintain consistency in future races. Overall, his performance showcases a well-executed strategy and strong team representation as part of the PHX Run Club.
