Solid Performance with Consistent Pacing Prakash Chandra completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon in 5:35:09, maintaining an average pace of 12:47 min/mile. Notably, his pacing was consistent, starting the race strong with a pace of 9:36 min/mile for the first mile. Although his pace dropped to 16:54 min/mile by mile 21, he showed resilience by maintaining a steady rhythm, especially given the length of the marathon. Chandra's strong suit was his ability to keep a relatively uniform pace, mirrored in previous events like the 2024 Mesa Marathon Half, where he completed the race in 2:19:46 at a pace of 10:40 min/mile. This consistency is commendable; however, working on sustaining an earlier race pace longer could benefit future races. Finishing 181st in his division (M45-49), aligning closely with past half-marathon placements, suggests steady performance. Continued focus on pace endurance and perhaps some additional interval training could yield improved results in future marathons.
