Substantial Improvement for Desirae in 10K Performance Desirae McConnell delivered an impressive performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K, clocking a final time of 48:10 with an average pace of 7:46 min/mile. Strategically improving her pace through the race, her strongest split was the final mile with a 6:41 min/mile pace. Notably, she advanced from 240th place overall after the first mile to 145th by the finish. Among females, she placed 43rd, and 11th in her division (F35-39) out of 2107 total participants. Compared to her past performance in the 2024 Mesa Marathon, where she completed the marathon at an 8:20 min/mile pace, her 10K pacing shows substantial improvement. Her progression over the 6.2-mile course was marked by consistent speed gains. Focusing on maintaining that final mile pace across more distances could be a beneficial training goal moving forward.
