Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Janet Livingstone #17256 Race: 2025 Mesa Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Consistent Performance with Opportunities for Pacing Adjustments Janet Livingstone executed a steady effort in the 2025 Mesa Marathon. With an overall finish time of 3:39:52 and an average pace of 16:47 min/mile, she maintained consistency throughout the half marathon distance of 13.1 miles. Her strongest mile came first, with a time of 14:39, demonstrating an adept start. During the middle miles, she exhibited similar pacing, fluctuating slightly but holding close to her average pace. Notably, her eighth mile was one of the more challenging, recorded at 19:15 but was able to regain a more consistent pace in subsequent miles. While Janet finished 77th in her division for F60-64 participants out of 80 in her division, she managed to stay strong and complete each mile. Engaging more consistent pacing, especially in the later stages, could enhance overall performance. Joining a running group focusing on tempo runs might offer beneficial improvements.
