Consistent Pace Improvement Cynthia demonstrated notable progress in her 10K performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon with a finishing time of 1:04:05, equating to a pace of 10:20 min/mile. She moved from 818th overall at the first mile to 655th by the race's end. Her incremental reduction in split times showcases a strategic negative split strategy. Notably, she improved her mile pace from 11:58 min/mile in the first mile to an impressive 8:30 min/mile in the final mile. Compared to her 2024 Mesa Marathon 10K, where her pace was 10:59 min/mile, Cynthia achieved a substantial improvement of 39 seconds per mile this year. Finishing 279th among women and 62nd in the F35-39 age group out of 2107 participants reflects her advancement. Continually working on early-mile consistency could enhance future performances.
