Consistent Split Improvement in Half Marathon Performance Pam Pitts, representing the 50 States Half Marathon Club, completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon's Half Marathon event with an official time of 2:15:15. Over the 13.1-mile course, Pam averaged a pace of 10:19 min/mile, competing among 3,859 participants. Notably, Pam showed significant consistency in her pacing, maintaining a steady average throughout the race. In terms of ranking, she placed 81st in her F50-54 division and 952nd among female participants. Pam's race featured a remarkable variance in her splits. While she began at a 10:30 min/mile pace, she managed to incorporate several faster splits such as a 9:42 pace at mile 3 and an impressive 9:22 pace in the final mile. Based in Lucedale, MS, Pam effectively leveraged this strategy, showcasing her ability to maintain and even improve pace towards the race's conclusion.
