Steady Progress Despite a Slower Start Jason Fernandez participated in the 2025 Mesa Marathon's 10K event, demonstrating consistent pacing throughout the race. He finished with an elapsed time of 1:17:30 and a pace of 12:30 min/mile over the 6.2-mile course. Among 2,107 participants, he secured the 23rd place in his M55-59 division. Notably, Fernandez managed to improve his pace as the race progressed, with his final mile being the fastest at 11:49 min/mile. Comparing his performance to the prior year's event, where he clocked in at 1:13:15 with a pace of 11:48 min/mile, Jason's initial two splits in this year's race were slower. However, his ability to pick up speed in the latter parts indicates a strong finishing strategy.
