Consistent Splits with Strong Finish in a Crowded Field Mikel Gregory showed consistent pacing throughout the 2025 Mesa Marathon, completing the half marathon with an overall time of 3:21:36 and an average pace of 15:23 minutes per mile. Starting off with a solid pace of 14:11 min/mile in the first mile, Mikel managed to slightly increase his speed to a 13:36 min/mile by mile three. While the pace varied slightly throughout, with a peak in the eighth mile at 14:56 min/mile, the early quick miles show a promising start to the event. Mikel's performance placed him 111th in the Male 55-59 division and 1523rd among all male participants, out of 3859 total runners. A notable aspect of his performance was the ability to maintain a fairly stable pace, with only minor fluctuations and keeping a relatively steady finish despite the back half of the race averaging around 17 minutes per mile. Working on pacing consistency in the later miles could be beneficial for future races. Overall, Mikel's efforts reflect his dedication and determination in representing his team, the 50 States Half Marathon Club.
