Consistent Splits and Steady Improvement Daniel Chaplin delivered a steady performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon's Half Marathon. His average pace was 20:28 min/mile across the 13.1 miles, with a final time of 4:28:08. Notable consistency is shown in his pacing, especially in the later miles. Starting with an 18:53 min/mile for the first mile, he slowed down slightly in the middle miles but regained momentum, maintaining a pace close to 20:25 min/mile from mile seven onward. Chaplin's performance in his age division (M30-34) was commendable, consistently maintaining around the mid-to-low 200s in place. Notably, his placement improved at mile eight, moving from 231 to 213 in his division. His splits suggest that despite slight variations, he was able to maintain a strong, consistent pace, particularly from mile four onwards.
