Steady and Strong Performance in the Mesa Marathon Conor Hoekstra consistently maintained a strong pace throughout the 2025 Mesa Marathon, finishing with an elapsed time of 2:57:29 and an overall pace of 6:46 per mile. Notably, Conor completed the race, placing 37th in the M30-34 division out of a competitive field of 3624 participants. He exhibited a consistent performance, with most mile splits falling in the range of 6:29 to 6:46 minutes per mile. Conor opened the race with a quick 6:29 split and maintained sub-7-minute miles through mile 22. Although there was a slight drop in pace between miles 21 and 25, where the pace ranged from 7:04 to 7:35, he managed a strong final mile at 6:35. The consistency in pace, particularly maintaining it below 7:00 for a significant portion of the marathon, contributed to a solid performance. Continuing to focus on maintaining pace stability toward the latter stages could yield even better results in future races.
