Improvement in Pace and Consistency Accomplished Whitney Nebeker completed the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K with an overall time of 1:43:42, achieving an overall pace of 16:43 min/mile. Whitney made significant gains compared to her previous race, improving her pace from 17:24 min/mile. Notably, her fastest mile was the final mile with a split pace of 14:17 min/mile, indicating strong endurance and finishing power. Analyzing her performance, Whitney’s splits demonstrate increasing efficiency over the course, with the initial mile at 17:46 min/mile and subsequent miles showing improved pacing. Her placement was 116th in the F40-44 division, 948th among females, and 1666th overall out of 2107 participants. While Whitney's pacing improved notably, maintaining a more consistent pace throughout the race rather than fluctuating could lead to even better results.
