Consistency Leads to Strong Division Finish Germaine Tupper, 52, from Blowing Rock, NC, delivered a solid performance at the 2025 Mesa Marathon. Maintaining an average pace of 8:01 minutes per mile, Germaine completed the race in 3:30:21. Her consistency was evident, with her position in the F50-54 division firmly held at 3rd place throughout the race. A standout moment was her first mile, clocking in at 7:07, a pace unmatched in any subsequent split. Germaine demonstrated resilience in sustaining her pace across the race’s full length. Noteworthy is the pace shift after mile 20, where her pace slowed slightly, culminating in a 9:08 minute pace for mile 21, and ultimately a final mile pace of 8:45 minutes, while still achieving a better overall race time than her previous marathon effort, reducing her finish time by nearly three minutes. Continued focus on pace stability in the latter stages could further enhance future performances.
