Date: February 8, 2025 Participant: Lisa Macedo #21474 Race: 2025 Mesa 10K Distance: 6.2 miles Weather: Perfect running conditions at 63°F, partly cloudy skies, and a slight breeze from the east in Mesa, AZ.

Strong Finish with Progressive Improvement Lisa, from Ammon, ID, demonstrated consistent improvement throughout the 2025 Mesa Marathon 10K. Starting with an initial mile pace of 13:47, she gradually increased her pace to finish with an impressive sprint in the sixth mile at 10:40 min/mile. Lisa's strategic acceleration allowed her to finish with an overall elapsed pace of 12:14 min/mile, ranking 97th in the F35-39 division out of over 2000 participants. Lisa's strength shone in the latter half of the course. After midpoint, she moved from a 1224th overall position to finish at 1108th place, reflecting a significant gain. Her strategy of pacing in the initial miles and accelerating towards the end resulted in a strong finish. Continuing to work on sustaining this quicker pace through earlier miles may yield even better results in future races. Keep up the great progress, Lisa!
