Consistent Pacing Despite Increased Times Wendy O'Neal participated in the 2025 Mesa Marathon Half Marathon with a total time of 3:34:08, covering the 13.1 miles at a pace of 16:20 min/mile. Her consistent early pacing began with a 14:53 min/mile split and varied as the race progressed, with a peak split pace of 18:14 min/mile, indicating a slowdown in the latter stages. Notably, Wendy held steady around her placement, finishing 185th in her division among F45-49 participants and 1798th among females out of 3859 total participants. In comparison to her previous half marathon performance in 2024, where she finished in 3:21:59 with an average pace of 15:25 min/mile, there’s a slight increase in overall time and pace. Wendy’s pacing strategy remains steady in the initial splits, suggesting strong early miles. Concentrating on maintaining pace during the latter stages of the race could enhance future performances.
